Vickie Allen is an accomplished leader with experience focused on empowering, inspiring and uplifting individuals as well as organizations to reach their highest potential. As the Chief Impact Officer at The Dallas Foundation, she manages a team tasked with implementing a sustainable grant-making strategy that will not only reflect the foundation’s mission but also shape its strategic vision.
Prior to joining the foundation, she was the President & CEO of Educational First Steps; a North Texas based organization striving to create and support high-quality early learning environments for children birth to age five.
Vickie was previously the Senior Vice President of Development with United Way Tarrant County where she oversaw corporate relations, donor relations, volunteer engagement and public philanthropy. She is a former Assistant Professor at St. Catherine University, one of the largest catholic liberal arts institutions educating women to lead and influence. Vickie also previously served as the Executive Director for Jeremiah Program, a nationally recognized non-profit serving women and children transforming from poverty to prosperity through education and career-track employment.
Vickie is a 2004 Bush Foundation Leadership Fellow. She received her master’s in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and her Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. She is an avid volunteer and serves on the board of the Harvard Club of Dallas.
